Tomato Cabbage stew provides several essential vitamins and it is good to cure hangovers.
- Cabbage - 1000 g (2.2 lbs)
- Tomato Paste - 400 g (0.9 lbs)
- Lemon Peel - 1piece
- Caraway - 1 tsp
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Sugar - 2-3 tbsp
- Flour - 4 tbsp
- Oil - 4 tbsp
- Onion - 1
- Paprika - 1 tsp
Take off the outer leaves of the cabbage. Quarter it and discard the hard center section. Cut it into bite size portions and put them into a pot.
Add 1 l cold water, the tomato paste, caraway, lemon peel and salt. Bring it to boil.
Heat oil to medium heat in a pot. Add flour and finely chopped onion, stir continuously, and cook until its color is beige or tawny. Add a cup of cold water, a pinch of sugar and paprika. Stir into the cabbage and bring it to boil.
