Tasty, simple paprika dish. It is traditionally served with dumpling-like egg noodles.
- Chicken - 1000 g (2.2 lbs)
- Onion - 200 g (0.4 lbs)
- Italian Green/banana/green Bell Pepper - 100 g (0.2 lbs)
- Tomato - 100 g (0.2 lbs)
- Smoked Bacon - 50 g (0.1 lbs)
- Oil - 2 tbsp
- Paprika - 2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Black Pepper - to taste
- Water - 1 cup
- Sour Cream - to taste
Slice the onions lengthwise and sauté for a few minutes in the oil.
Take the pan off the heat and add red pepper, chicken pieces, salt, black pepper and water.
Cover and cook over low heat for about 1 hour, depending on the size of the chicken pieces. Add some water occasionlly if needed.
When the chicken is done, stir in the sour cream to your taste. Serve with egg noodles, potatoes or rice.
