Quick and cheap dish. Your kids will love it.
- Pasta, Preferably Short-cut, Flat Ribbon Pasta - 250 g (0.6 lbs)
- Olive Oil - 1-2 tbsp
- Water - ½ cup
- Semolina - 60-80 g (0.1 lbs)
- Salt - 1 pinch
- Powdered Sugar - ½ cup
- Peach Or Strawberry Jam - 1 cup
Fill a large pot with water, add a pinch of salt and bring it to rolling boil.
Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for about 8-10 minutes while stirring continuously.
Heat the olive oil to middle heat in a pan, and gradually stir in the semolina. Stir continuously to avoid burning.
Add ½ cup hot water, stir until the semolina absorbs water and take it off the heat.
Combine the semolina with the pasta and stir. Cover the pan and leave it for a few minutes.
Serve the pasta with a cup of jam on top and sprinkle powdered sugar.
