It is well-known in several cultures in different forms.
- Pig Trotters - 5000 g (11 lbs)
- Onion - 1000 g (2.2 lbs)
- Mashed Garlic - 100 g (0.2 lbs)
- Green Pepper - 3-4
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Ground Caraway - ½ tbs
- Marjoram - ½ tbs
- Ground Seasoning Paprika - to taste
Chop the boned trotters and the onion.
Place the meat and onion into a pot and salt them. Simmer it until the meat is soft. Add some water if it is not enough, though a little water will come out of the meat. Never add too much water, only as much as necessary.
Add garlic and seasoning salt when it is 80% ready, and cook until done.
Serve with fresh bread, and boiled potato.
